Leslie..Dahling!

Bobby and I went to Bloomington saturday to visit our 'favorite oldest daughter'. It was wonderful. We stayed at the Econolodge. Oh yeah, I know your jealous of our first class accomodations. Hey, it was the IU vs Ohio St. football weekend so we were lucky to get it. Especially for the low rate of $99.99. First on the agenda for the evening was dinner at City Street Grill. We had a group of parents and daughters numbering about 16. It is a sports bar restuarant, with huge tv's everywhere. Then the girls took us to Nick's....(they seem to forget how OLD we parents are). They made us play a drinking game called 'sink the biz'... (or should I say, a little game to remind us of how old we are, in case we forgot) It was a fun night! I love seeing my lil girl and all her GREAT girl friends! Of course I was looking smashing, what with my scarfage,,,and coatage, and flare-age..mmm-hmmm..

it's wednesday

But shouldn't it be spelled "wendsday"? I always have to stop and think, wed-nes-day, when I write it. I also have to hum the alphabet song when looking up a name in the phone book.
Last night my favorite new show was on. "The Office" So funny! Talk about a true anthropological picture of the human race!
Well,,Jacob's last high school football season is winding down. We have..LOST..EVERY..SINGLE..GAME...........
We play North White this friday. Then the next week we host sectional. Against SHERIDAN! So..after that my friday nights will be free for awhile, till basketball season starts.
Well, Kaitlyn is sure enjoying having her license. She has gone to Kokomo and Lafayette by herself. She came home from Kokomo last friday night and walked in sobbing...Of course I was immediately alarmed....then she told me the reason for her sobs...."I hit a possum!"
Now if that had been Jake, he would have come in smiling proudly, and we would have both done the 'pull down the clenched fist' YES!

Hitting The Road

Yesterday Kaitlyn got her driver's license......
You should see it. It is the most beautiful license picture ever. I'm not kidding. She was complaining about it and Jake and I were like.."WHAT?"
Jacob got back from his senior trip to Washington DC last night. They flew out monday morning at 5am..spent mon night at a hotel...and got back about 10 last night. He was disappointed with the trip. For one thing too hectic. For another, he said DC wasn't as grand as expected. He said the grounds were rather unkempt. He said he expected our "Nation's Capitol" to be more impressive. He did like the holocaust museum, spent 3 hours in it.
