POOP

I was reading Adam and Jenn's blog the other day and giggling over Jenn's transcript of her and Corbins lunch conversation. Which, he being a 2 yr old boy (operative word, BOY) was all about poop. What is it about the young male human that finds such delight in that word? Kaitlyn babysits for an 11 yr old girl and 8 yr old boy. Last night she was telling me about the boy singing a pop tune and replacing the word "poop" for the lyrics. Jacob is 18 and was doing the same thing just the other day! Of course it's not just the word poop they enjoy,,,,oh no...There is also all the various poop/fart sounds they make. Boys can be quite inventive in that department. They use every available means, from armpits to mouths. I've also observed that they never quite outgrow this fascination. Calvin gave Bobby a fart machine. It actually has the name "fart machine" proudly printed on it. It is a speaker with a remote. You can place it under the chair of your victim, discreetly hide the remote in your pocket, and let the fun begin. The high tech whoopie cushion. The old saying proves true...The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys...

Season

Last night was our final basketball game. We played Central Catholic for the sectional championship. We lost. It was Jacob's last high school basketball game. It makes me sad...This "season" of motherhood is over.
Kaitlyn took in a bedraggled stray cat 2 weeks ago. She is a persian/himalayan. Very small, only 4 pounds. We thought she was a kitten, but the vet says she is between 1 and 2 years old. Needless to say, Mason has been very put out over this. I should have asked the vet for some anti-depressants for him!
We have had this awful stink in our garage all winter. We had not been able to figure it out. We looked and looked and didn't find any dead critters. We were perplexed. Yesterday,,,I was like...."God, I can't take it. You gotta help with this"
I go out to the garage and sniff around. Wait a minute...I think it is coming from the extra propane tank for the grill...I take it and set it out the back door....Let the garage air out for a bit,,,then shut the garage up to test it. HALLEJUIA! Stink mystery solved!!!!! Boy, are we dumb......
