Homecoming

Tonight was our homecoming game. We won! Yay! Jacob had a great game...made tackles, ran the ball several times...I never can relate all the details..cuz I just don't know much about football (Jake says trying to teach me football would be like trying to teach a dog calculus) hehe...anyway he plays offense and defense and he's out there pretty much the whole game. Of course it being homecoming and all, a queen had to be crowned tonight..and (drum roll) my niece Jessica was the chosen one!! Talked to Johnna today...she had a tough week..lot's of tests..what a smart little cookie she is! And all the girls in her sorority house say she has "STAR" quality! hehe...well now that Kaitlyn is a freshman she wants to try out those newly sprouted high school wings ..... ugh...... mothers of teenagers know why some animals eat their young..............Bobby has been home all week..his big truck aka "the moneymaker" has been in the shop. He has been using this time to paint his trailer. It's times like this that make one ask themself.."and why am I self employed??" Yikers...........ah well, Life goes on and God is good to his children......

Oh my, this is a gorgeous day....Perfect day for horseback riding. Unfortunately I lack a horse. Filled up the firepit out back with logs and kindling, when the sun dips down to horizon I shall light it. Perfect night for a campfire.

Yes...it's my birthday. I am sure glad I was born in a year that ends in a zero (1960). It makes it easy to remember how old I am!! I got some lovely cards and a beautiful flower arrangement from Bobby. I really must take the time and figure out how to post pictures on this blog..oh well.....

a sunny day!!

Wow! I can't beleive it, the sun has been shining all day. We sure haven't seen much of it lately. Last night the moon was so bright I bet could have sat out on my deck and read a book by the light of the moon...NEW SUBJECT: due to various computer break downs I have lost my address book several times. I always tell myself to print out my address book so I will be able to reload them...but like Alice in Wonderland.."I give myself such very good advice and very seldom follow it"...so would the following ppl please send me their e-mail adrresses: Kevin and Teresa, Travis and Katie, Mark and Janice.....
