Roadkill

Saturday night Bobby and I were coming home and I was driving the pickup. All of a sudden he yells, "DEER!" Too late, I didn't see it, and ran over it. It was just a fawn, no damage to truck. Sunday night I was driving over to David and Cathy's, and ran over a possum. Yesterday, when I went to leave the house to pick up Kaitlyn from school there was a flock of those big vulture birds circling over our driveway......

hehehe....

So I pick up Kaitlyn from school and of course "learner permit girl" takes the wheel. As we are going down the road she keeps jerking the steering wheel and swerving. "What are you doing?" I ask. "I don't want to run over the willy worms!" she replies. I say, "They're livin dangerously."

As most of you know, Kaitlyn has been a vegetarian for about6 months. Now she has decided to go vegan. Oh brother..........
Yesterday she and I go into Flora to run various errands. As we are returning to the car, she tromps across this landscaped island in the parking lot. I say to her, "Aha! You won't run over a willy worm, but you stomp on the flowers! I see your innate hunter/killer instinct coming out!"
She shyly smiled.....

PS: Iffen I had Granny Clampet's recipe book..I coulda made good use o dem critters!

I remember that I hit a possum during my drivers' ed exam. I think I actually got bonus points for not slowing down or swerving. Good luck with your new driving skills/privileges special K. Hopefully your first years are smoother than mine were.
