The Meathead Dinner

All of us Millers had a great time at the annual Christmas Meathead Dinner! And boy did we have a housefull!! Eight adorable great grandchildren made the day fun and lively. It is a holiday event for our family that we all love, and I can't wait till next year!

Later that night Johnna and I headed up to Chicago. Got to bed late and slept in late. Then I power cleaned her apartment. Crazy me , I enjoy doing it! Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut, then loading up her car and riding with her to a case she has work at 1:00 , then we are heading back home for more family time with the kingery side on Christmas night!

We sure missed Mark,Janice andSarah and Paul and Bobbi!
So for them I will print the menue, to entice them for next year:
shrimp cocktail
Prime Rib
green beans sauted in olive oil and seasonings
roasted potatos
roasted sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms
Pistacchio cake and chocolate dipped strawberries!!

If you are a Meathead survivor... say BOOYA

Fall back...

Hello chosen ones! I will try to be better about blogging!
We had an impromptu homecoming this last weekend. The main reason for this get together was to get signatures notarized for replacement savings bonds for Jacob and Kaitlyn. Why do we have to get replacement savings bonds, you might be wondering... Well because Bobby and I are senile. Yes, we hid them and can't for the life of us remember where! We have been looking for them for a year and a half! So I had to contact the treasury and go through all these hoops for them to reissue the bonds. Saturday we got the paperwork signed and notarized and it is on it's way to Virginia. Hopefully all the "i"s are dotted and all the "t's" are crossed! :P
Since Jacob and Kaitlyn had to come home for all this signing we called Johnna to see if she could come down! Not only could she, but she also brought her dog Teddy, her boyfriend Jared and his dog Samson, and her old roommates dog Chloe!!! (needless to say my cats were a little unnerved)
So we had a nice dinner at home; ribs, scalloped potatoes, green beans... but NO PUMPKIN PIE! Sheeesh.. so kill me.....
Now is when I do some bragging........
Johnna just got a new job!! The companies name is Gore, and boy are they lucky to get her! All the same perks as Cook,, car, phone, parking,,, but MORE MONEY!..... and she is really impressed with their philosphy and management style.
Jacob is still rockin it at IU, and just celebrated his 21st birthday on Oct 13!
Kaitlyn is little Miss Responsible,,, working and living in an apt in Kokomo! We bought her dream car for her,,, yes folks,, it's a 1987 Volvo that we paid $600 for and she LOVES it!

Love & Kisses ~~

Jumpin Jack Gas

So I heard on some news report earlier today that Iraq is now self producing enough revenue(due to the price of crude) to start paying for it's own rebuilding process. Nice to hear, since we have spent billions towards this endeavor. I haven't begrudged this, however... thats who we are and I'm proud that we are a country who stays and helps in this process. But, shouldn't we get a better deal from them on oil as a payback?? One year ago, Bobby was paying $2.29 for diesel. Now it is $3.75. Yeah, it hurts. Guess what, America runs on the trucking industry. ALL prices will go up.

gallon of regular ...$3.40
gallon of diesel ......$3.75
soldiers and citizens sacrifices to free and retain freedom in Iraq..... priceless
